WHY THEY HID THE NAME

BABEL-PERSIA CAPTIVITY COIN, VESPASIAN CAPTIVITY COIN

YAHU to IUDE
COINS OF CAPTIVES – MINTED IN CAPTIVITY

QUESTION:   I have been researching the term yahoo, because i have heard that this name is why the Yahudim made it a stoning offense to say the Father's Name publicly. I have heard that when the children of Yisra'el were carried away to Babylon they made fun of the Name by calling them Yahoos. I have done an extensive search online, and the only origin i came up with is the book Gulliver's Travels. The author made up the name Yahoos for the book. My question is do you know of any documented history for the children of Yisra'el being called Yahoos?

ANSWER:

“Yahoo” or YAHU is a term by which the children of  Yisharal were known (aka Yisrael) when both houses were under a united kingdom. It is based on the four vowels spelling the Name of the Creator, yod-hay-uau-hay (Yahuah). During their captivities, their captors minted coins to establish their rule over them, using the identity (name) of those they captured.

The coins above are hard evidence. Much of the record of the captivity of the tribes is revealed in the writings of YirmeYahu, YashaYahu, Yekezqel, Ezra, Amos, Hadassah, and continues on into Danial. The coin pictured was minted by a governing body over the district occupied by the Yahudim.

The scroll of Hadassah (Esther) provides us with the background of the period very well, showing us how the Yahudim were disliked so much the new queen had to hide her identity as a Yahudi. The effort to conceal the Name is so prevalent, it is one of the strongest traditions.

We see it everywhere, but there is no specific documentation that can be traced to any source except the captivity in Babel. The outlawing of uttering the Name is not so much documented since they had no power to make it an edict as enslaved people. History was recorded by the conquerors, not the slaves. It truly was blasphemous and misuse of the Name as it was used on the lips of the Babylonians. The Yahudim stopped saying the Name, and over time it was considered blasphemy for anyone to pronounce it – except the Kohen ha’Gadol, once each year at Yom Kafar in the Mishkan.

YAHUAH REMOVED HIS NAME FROM THEIR LIPS:

“Therefore hear the Word of Yahuah, all Yahudah who are dwelling in the land of Mitsrayim, ‘See, I have sworn by My great Name,’ declares Yahuah, ‘My Name shall no longer be called upon by the mouth of any man of Yahudah in all the land of Mitsrayim, saying,

“As the Master Yahuah lives...” YirmeYahu (Jer) 44:26

These locations are in the old land of their FORMER captivity in Mitsrayim, but YirmeYahu the prophet is equating their present captivity (by the Assyrians) to remind them of His identity and the 1st Commandment:

“I am Yahuah your Alahim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery.” Shemoth (Ex) 20:2

While the captives were living in the land of Babel, the Persians took control. One piece of evidence that points out the identification or labeling of the Yahudim as Yahu’s is this coin from the time and place of the captivity:

“Yahu” is clearly stamped in the letters yod-hay-uau on the coin.

As incredible as it may seem, the Name Yahuah became derogatory in the ears of the children of Yisharal. The whole Sanhedrin screamed and shut-up their ears when Stephen uttered the Name in their presence (Acts 7:57).

Even today, the most insulting thing a person can do is use the true Name Yahuah in the presence of a devout person who practices Rabbinical Judaism. The Yahudim kept the Name from being pronounced, and enforced it with the threat of death, considering it “blasphemy” if it was used by anyone other than a priest. They began to replace the Name with pronouns when reading Scripture. The prophet YirmeYahu (Jer.) wrote:

“Whenever I said, “Let me not mention Him, nor speak in His Name again,” it was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones. And I became weary of holding it back, and was helpless.'” YirmeYahu 20:9

The "it" refers to the Name, Yahuah.

When the Mishkan (Temple) was destroyed in 70 CE by Titus and his father Vespasian, the final captivity into the nations became the reality we see all around us today. Vespasian soon after became Emperor, and minted the victory coin pictured above. Vespasian proceded to build the Roman Colosseum with the wealth looted from Yerushalayim, and two arches (arch of Titus, arch of Vespasian, Titus’ father).

There are many texts of Scripture showing how offended Yahuah was about His Name being blasphemed (by not being used). It was substituted with the term BAAL - meaning LORD (YirmeYahu 23:26, 27). Paul – formerly Shaul – arrested Natsarim in the congregations for uttering the Name. Stephen was stoned for speaking it. Yahusha used the Name as He read YashaYahu 11 in the congregation at His hometown Natsarith, and they plotted to throw Him over the cliff of the town. The throngs used the Name from Psalm 118:26 as He was entering the city of Yerushalayim on the donkey (Mt. 21:9). The Pharisees were highly offended.   The Name is the Stone which the builders rejected (same Psalm, 118). YashaYahu 52:6 tells us Yahuah’s people will know His Name, Yual (Joel) 2 quoted by Kefa tells us those calling on it will be delivered, and Acts 4:12 tells us there is one Name . . . the Name and the Word are above all else (Ps 138:2), and we Natsarim are the guardians of the Name, and the Word, of Yahuah.

What was whispered in the inner rooms is being shouted from the rooftops.    Between the 7th to the 11th centuries, a sect of Yahudim in Babel, and at Yerushalayim, implemented a scheme to misdirect the sound of the Hebrew language, and making it uniform. While this sounds great, it had the agenda (a secret kept from the masses) to conceal the Name.

They were called Masoretes, from the Hebrew word MASORAH, meaning tradition. Altering the pronunciation,  YAHU had become YEHO by their inserting newly invented markings for vowels called NIQQUD marks. They altered the way Hebrew was heard when read aloud. The language was under seige for 500 years, and today the work of the Masoretes is highly praised and most everyone uses it to teach the proper pronunciation of Hebrew.   The reason we know this is because we are the body of Yahusha, clothed in Him (our armor). He gives us discernment so that fiery darts and poison teachings cannot penetrate our hearts, and we walk in His power to sow His love into the darkest parts of this world system. He is restoring all things through His Natsarim just before He returns (Acts 3:19-21).

The whole purpose of holding fast to the Truth is to reach the goal. Every parable, covenant, and example for living in Scripture directs us to repair the relationship of love between Yahuah and all mankind. By obeying and teaching the Ten Words, Shabath, the Festivals, we learn not only how, but why. The purpose behind it all is love. When we wake up to this, we have reached the goal.

The BYNV restores a more ancient transliteration of Hebrew, without Masoretic distortions.

It minimizes confusion, and untangles many of the knots caused by former translators.

The Hebrew Name, Yahuah, is presented in its ancient form, aka palaeo-Hebrew letters.
