THE AWAKENING of EPHRAIM

TO THE COVENANT

(FINDING WISDOM)

EPHRAIM is the Prodigal Son

Luk 15:11-32:   “And He said, “A certain man had two sons,

and the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods falling to me.’ And he divided his livelihood between them.

“And not many days after, the younger son, having gathered all together, went away to a distant country, and there wasted his goods with loose living.

“And when he had spent all, there arose a severe scarcity of food throughout that land, and he began to be in need.

“And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him to his fields to feed pigs.

“And he was longing to fill his stomach with the pods which the pigs were eating, and no one gave to him.

“But having come to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I am perishing with hunger!

‘Having risen, I shall go to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against the heaven, and before you,

and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’

“And having risen, he went to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

“And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against the heaven, and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

‘And bring the fattened calf here and slaughter it, and let us eat and rejoice,

because this son of mine was dead and is alive again, and he was lost and is found.’ And they began to rejoice.

“And his older son was in the field, and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing.

“And having called one of the servants he asked what this meant.

“And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf because he received him back in health.’

“And he was wroth and would not go in. So his father came out and pleaded with him.

“And answering, he said to his father, ‘See, these many years I have been serving you, and I have never transgressed a command of yours, but to me you have never given a young goat, so I could rejoice with my friends.

‘But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with whores, you slaughtered the fattened calf for him.’

“Then he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all I have is yours.

‘And we had to rejoice and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive, and was lost and is found.’ ”

Jer 31:6-10: “For there shall be a day when the watchmen (NATSARIM) cry on Mount Ephrayim, ‘Arise, and let us go up to Tsiyon, to יהוה our Elohim.’ ”

For thus said יהוה, “Sing with gladness for Yaʽaqoḇ, and shout among the chief of the nations. Cry out, give praise, and say, ‘O יהוה, save Your people, the remnant of Yisra’ĕl!’

“See, I am bringing them from the land of the north, and shall gather them from the ends of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, those with child and those in labor, together – a great assembly returning here.

“With weeping they shall come, and with their prayers I bring them. I shall make them walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they do not stumble. For I shall be a Father to Yisra’ĕl, and Ephrayim – he is My first-born.

“Hear the word of Yahuah, O gentiles, and declare it in the islands far off, and say, ‘He who scattered Yisra’ĕl gathers him, and shall guard him as a shepherd his flock.’”

“Yisrael” is another term for EPHRAIM, THE PRODIGAL SON:

Jer 31:17-20:  “And there is expectancy for your latter end,” declares Yahuah, “and your children shall return to their own country.

“I have clearly heard Ephrayim lamenting, ‘You have chastised me, and I was chastised, like an untrained calf. Turn me back, and I shall turn back, for You are Yahuah my Elohim.

‘For after my turning back, I repented. And after I was instructed, I struck myself on the thigh. I was ashamed, even humiliated, for I bore the reproach of my youth.’

“Is Ephrayim a precious son to Me, a child of delights? For though I spoke against him, I still remembered him. That is why My affections were deeply moved for him. I have great compassion for him,” declares Yahuah.”

Two kinds of children,  wise, unwise:

Children of Yahuah, children of the devil.

Pro 2:-51 “My son, if you accept My Words, and treasure up My commands with you,

So that you make your ear attend to Wisdom, Incline your heart to understanding;

For if you cry for discernment, lift up your voice for understanding,

If you seek her as silver, and search for her as hidden treasures,

Then you would understand the fear of Yahuah, and find the knowledge of Elohim.”

“The secret of Yahuah is with those who fear Him, And He makes His Covenant known to them.”   Psa 25:14

Pro 3:1-18: “My son, do not forget my Torah, And let your heart watch over my commands;

For length of days and long life And peace they add to you.

Let not kindness and truth forsake you – Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart,

Thus finding favour and good insight In the eyes of Elohim and man.

Trust in יהוה with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

Know Him in all your ways, And He makes all your paths straight.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear יהוה and turn away from evil.

It is healing to your navel, And moistening to your bones.

Esteem יהוה with your goods, And with the first-fruits of all your increase;

Then your storehouses shall be filled with plenty, And your vats overflow with new wine.

My son, do not despise the discipline of יהוה, And do not loathe His reproof;

For whom יהוה loves He reproves, As a father the son whom he delights in.

Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, And the man who gets understanding;

For the gain from it is better Than gain from silver, And its increase than fine gold.

She is more precious than rubies, And all your delights are not comparable to her.

Length of days is in her right hand, Riches and esteem in her left hand.

Her ways are pleasant ways, And all her paths are peace.

She is a tree of life to those taking hold of her, And blessed are all who retain her.”

Pro 8:1-36: “Does not wisdom call, And understanding lift up her voice?

On the top of the heights along the way, Between the paths she has taken her stand.

Beside the gates, leading to the city, At the entrances, she shouts:

“O men, I call, to you, And my voice is to the sons of men.

“You simple ones, understand insight, And you fools, be of an understanding heart.

 “Listen, for I speak noble words, And the opening of my lips is about straightness;

“For my mouth speaks truth; And wrongness is an abomination to my lips.

“All the words of my mouth are in righteousness, None of them twisted or crooked,

“All of them plain to him who understands, And straight to those who find knowledge.

 “Accept my discipline, and not silver, And knowledge rather than choice gold;

“For wisdom is better than rubies, And all delights are not comparable to her.

“I, wisdom, have dwelt with insight, And I find knowledge, foresight.

“The fear of יהוה is to hate evil. I have hated pride and arrogance, And the evil way, And the perverse mouth.

“Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, mightiness is mine.

“By me sovereigns reign, And rulers make righteous decrees.

“By me princes rule, and nobles, All the judges of the earth.

“I love those who love me, And those who earnestly seek me do find me.

“Riches and esteem are with me, Enduring wealth and righteousness.

“My fruit is better than gold and fine gold, And my increase than choice silver.

“I walk in the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of right- ruling,

“To bestow substance on those who love me, And to fill their treasuries.

יהוה possessed me, The beginning of His way, As the first of His works of old.

“I was set up ages ago, at the first, Before the earth ever was.

“When there were no depths I was brought forth, When there were no springs heavy with water.

“Before mountains were sunk, Before the hills, I was brought forth,

“Before He had made the earth and the fields, Or the first dust of the world.

“When He prepared the heavens, I was there, When He decreed a vault on the face of the deep,

“When He set the clouds above, When He made the fountains of the deep strong,

“When He gave to the sea its limit, So that the waters would not transgress His command, When He decreed the foundations of the earth,

“Then I was beside Him, a master workman, And I was His delight, day by day Rejoicing before Him all the time,

“Rejoicing in the world, His earth; And my delights were with the sons of men.

“And now, listen to me, you children, For blessed are they who guard my ways.

“Listen to discipline and become wise, And do not refuse it.

“Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.

“For whoever finds me shall find life, And obtain favor from Yahuah,

“But he who sins against me injures himself; All who hate me love death!”

Isa 60:1-12:  “Arise, shine, for your light has come! And the esteem of Yahuah has risen upon you.

“For look, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness the peoples. But Yahuah arises over you, and His esteem is seen upon you.

“And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and sovereigns to the brightness of your rising.

“Lift up your eyes all around and see: all of them have gathered, they have come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are supported on the side.

“Then you shall see and be bright, and your heart shall throb and swell, for the wealth of the sea is turned to you, the riches of the gentiles come to you.

“A stream of camels cover your land, the dromedaries of Miḏyan and Ěphah; all those from Sheḇa come, bearing gold and incense, and proclaiming the praises of Yahuah.

“All the flocks of Qĕḏar are gathered to you, the rams of Neḇayoth serve you; they come up for acceptance on My altar, and I embellish My esteemed House.

“Who are these who fly like a cloud, and like doves to their windows?

“Because the coastlands wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the Name of Yahuah your Elohim, and to the Set-apart One of Yisrael, because He has adorned you.

“And the sons of foreigners shall build your walls, and their sovereigns serve you. For in My wrath I have smitten you, but in My delight I shall have compassion on you.

“And your gates shall be open continually, they are not shut day or night, to bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles, and their sovereigns in procession.

“For the nation and the reign that do not serve you shall perish, and those Gentiles shall be utterly laid waste.”

Rev 3:3:

“Remember, then, how you have received, and heard. And watch and repent.  If, then, you do not wake up, I shall come upon you as a thief, and you shall not know at all what hour I come upon you.”

Deu 29:29-30:3:   “The secret matters belong to Yahuah our Elohim, but what is revealed belongs to us and to our children forever, to do all the Words of this Torah.

“And it shall be, when all these Words come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you shall bring them back to your heart among all the gentiles where Yahuah your Elohim drives you,

and shall turn back to Yahuah your Elohim and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your being, you and your children,

then Yahuah your Elohim shall turn back your captivity, and shall have compassion on you, and He shall turn back and gather you from all the peoples where Yahuah your Elohim has scattered you.”

Isa 30:20-21:   “Though Yahuah gave you bread of adversity and water of affliction, your Teacher shall no longer be hidden. But your eyes shall see your Teacher,

and your ears hear a Word behind you, saying, ‘This is the Way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right, or whenever you turn to the left.”

CRY OF EPHRAIM TO BE REVIVED:

Psa 80:1-19:   “Give ear, O Shepherd of Yisra’ĕl, Who lead Yosef  like a flock; Who dwell between the keruḇim, shine forth!

Before Ephrayim, Binyamin, and Menashsheh, Stir up Your might, and come and save us!

Cause us to turn back, O Elohim, And cause Your face to shine, That we might be delivered!

“O Yahuah Elohim of hosts, How long shall You be wroth Against the prayer of Your people?

You have caused them to eat the bread of tears, and have caused them to drink with tears, a third time.

You have made us a strife to our neighbors, and our enemies laugh among themselves.

Turn us back, O Elohim of hosts, And cause Your face to shine, That we might be delivered!

You brought a vine out of Mitsrayim; You drove out the nations, and planted it.

You cleared a place for it, And caused it to take deep root, And it filled the land.

Hills were covered with its shadow, and the mighty cedars with its twigs.

She spread her branches to the Sea, and her shoots to the River.

Why have You broken down her hedges, So that every passer-by plucked her fruit?

The boar out of the forest ravages it, and the wild beast of the field devours it.

Return, we beg You, O Elohim of hosts; Look down from heaven, and see, And visit this vine,

And the stock which Your right hand has planted, And the Son whom You made strong for Yourself.

It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Your face.

Let Your hand be upon the One at Your right hand, Upon the Son of Aḏam whom You made strong for Yourself,

And we shall not backslide from You.

Revive us, and let us call upon Your Name.

Turn us back, O Yahuah Elohim of hosts, And cause Your face to shine, that we might be delivered!”

TURN US BACK TO YOUR TORAH!

The message (besorah) to the nations:

“Repent;

for the reign of Yahuah draws near!”

Jer 16:13-19:  “‘So I shall throw you out of this land into a land that you do not know, neither you nor your fathers. And there you shall serve other mighty ones day and night, where I show you no favor.’

‘Therefore see, the days are coming,’ declares Yahuah, ‘when it is no longer said, ‘Yahuah lives who brought up the children of Yisrael from the land of Mitsrayim,’

but, Yahuah lives who brought up the children of Yisrael from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I shall bring them back into their land I gave to their fathers.

“See, I am sending for many fishermen,” declares Yahuah, “and they shall fish them. And after that I shall send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

“For My eyes are on all their ways; they have not been hidden from My face, nor has their crookedness been hidden from My eyes.

“And first I shall repay double for their crookedness and their sin, because they have defiled My land with the dead bodies of their disgusting matters, and have filled My inheritance with their abominations.”

O Yahuah, my strength and my stronghold and my refuge, in the day of distress the Gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers have inherited only falsehood, futility, and there is no value in them.”

The initial recognition of the Truth can be scary:

Gen 42:8:

“So Yosef recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him.”

As the second in charge of ancient Egypt (Mitsrayim), Yosef was not a Jew (Yahudi), but the head of his own tribe among his brothers.  His brothers sold him into slavery to the Ishmaelites, then Yosef became a steward slave in the house of the captain of the guard.  Eventually he was falsely accused of attacking the man’s wife, then sent to prison.  After many years, he became known for the correct interpretation of dreams.  He went from jail to become the vizier of all Mitsrayim.  Eventually, Yosef met his brothers, but kept his own identity a secret from them.  He sat at table Yahudah, and his brothers, the heads of the other tribes of Yisrael.  Yosef then revealed himself to his brothers, saying “I am Yosef!”, striking intense fear in all of them.

Ephraim (the descendants of Yosef) is now declaring to his brother Yahudah, “I am Yosef!”

Gen 45:1-5:  “And Yosef was unable to restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he called out, ‘Have everyone go out from me!’ So no one stood with him while Yosef made himself known to his brothers.

And he wept aloud, and the Mitsrites and the house of Pharaoh heard it.

And Yosef said to his brothers, ‘I am Yosef, is my father still alive?’ But his brothers were unable to answer him, for they trembled before him.

Then Yosef said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” And when they came near, he said, “I am Yosef your brother, whom you sold into Mitsrayim.

‘And now, do not be grieved nor displeased with yourselves because you sold me here, for Elohim sent me before you to preserve life.’”

Yosef is represented by the two tribes of Israel, Ephraim and Manasseh.   Ephraim received the blessing of “first-born”, and is the dominant tribe of the scattered tribes of Israel.

Exo 4:22, 23:  “And you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus said Yahuah:  Yisrael is My son, My first-born, so I say to you, let My son go to serve Me.  But if you refuse to let him go, see, I am killing your son, your first-born.’ ”

As descendants of these tribes, the bulk of the population of the Earth is unaware of who they are, and the promises made to us as those descendants.  Over 2700 years ago, we were scattered among the nations by the Assyrians because we had failed to live according to the Covenant, but now we are being re-gathered to the Covenant.

“Hear the word of Yahuah, O gentiles, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Yisrael gathers him, and shall guard him as a shepherd his flock.’”  YirmeYahu 31:10

Isles?  Israel was a SEA EMPIRE, with many colonies for trading materials.  Greece and Rome were kept in the Mediterranean Sea for almost 1000 years using sea power, myths (flat Earth, sea monsters), and fake maps.

He gave us the sun (for night and day), the moon (for the appointed times, the “shadows” of things to come for the body of Mashiach, Israel), and the warning to return to the bond of the Covenant.  The texts above and what follows pertain to the “stress” or great tribulation period, just prior to Yahusha’s return.  He scattered Israel (the 10 northern tribes, or “house of Israel” approximately 2730 years ago:

Eze 20:34-38:  “And I shall bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out.

“And I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and shall enter into judgment with you face to face there.

“As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitsrayim, so I shall enter into judgment with you,” declares the Master Yahuah.

“And I shall make you pass under the rod, and shall bring you into the bond of the Covenant,

and purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me.  From the land where they sojourn I bring them out, but they shall not come into the land of Yisra’ĕl.  And you shall know that I am Yahuah.”

Yahusha will be concerned with a single matter at the time of His return:

who will be in the Covenant, and who will not be.

This is what He meant when He spoke about "belief":

Luk 18:7,8:   “And shall Elohim not do right by all means to His own chosen ones who are crying out day and night to Him, and being patient over them?

“I say to you that He shall do right to them speedily.   But when the Son of Aḏam comes, shall He find the belief on the earth?”

Belief (faith, enumah, or faithfulness) involves acting on what is believed, so it extends to obedience.  The “bonds” of the Covenant are what we are to go and teach all nations to obey, because when He spoke the following words, He wasn’t addressing post-Nicene church fathers or Christians, but rather Israelites in the Covenant, who were also Natsarim:

Mat 28:19,20:   “Therefore, go and make taught ones of all the nations, immersing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Set-apart Spirit,

teaching them to guard  (obey) all that I have commanded you.   And see, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Amĕn.

What had Yahusha always taught them to obey?  A Rabbi teaches Torah, the Covenant.  It is also called “the Word”.  Yahusha is the “Living Word” made flesh.  Naturally, the Natsarim of today hear His Words, and obey them.  We definitely know when the Sabbath arrives.  As a body, the Natsarim may determine such things:

Col 2:16,17:   “Let no one therefore judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths –

which are a shadow of what is to come – for the Body of the Messiah.”  (The phrase “for the body of Mashiach” conveys the literal meaning of the Greek Received Text.  The shadows (appointed times, moedim) are for Yahusha’s people, His body, Yisrael).

These “shadows” of things to come are the “redemption plan” for His body, Israel, and they are all about Him as Deliverer:

Passover  (the Lamb of Elohim, Yahusha)

Matsah      (Unleavened Bread, deliverance from bondage of sin)

First-fruits  (the resurrection of Yahusha, the “wave offering”)

Shabuoth   (Giving of Torah at Sinai, then again at Acts 2, the writing of Torah on the hearts of men,  not a “birthday”, but a wedding anniversary for Yahuah & His wife Israel)

Yom Teruah  (forerunner of “last Trump”, preparing us for the arrival of Yahusha as our King)

Yom Kaphar   (Judgment Day;  our names must be inscribed in the Scroll of Life, and this is not possible if we are not in the bonds of His Covenant)

Sukkoth     (Pictures the final dwelling of Yahusha among His Covenant people on Earth, forevermore).

Gentiles are all those who choose to remain outside His Covenant.  All those who choose to obey His Word (Covenant), He calls

Israel”, and their obedience identifies Who they serve:

Yahuah, the Elohim of Israel.

The Covenant is the “relationship” which Christianity seeks, yet it is spurned by false teachers, who replaced true worship with Sun-day, Easter, Christmas, so-called “sacraments”, and various liturgies.

Sacraments and denominations are irrelevant, since the “relationship” we each must have is through His Covenant (the one given at Ex. 20, & Dt. 5).

May Yahusha perfect His Covenant in our hearts, by writing it upon our hearts.

The action of the Spirit of Yahusha writing His Torah upon our hearts is what the “New Covenant” is.

RESTORATION TO THE COVENANT – THE PROPHECY ITSELF:

Jer 30:23  “See, the storm of Yahuah shall go forth in a rage, a whirling storm! It bursts upon the head of the wrong.

Jer 30:24 The burning displeasure of Yahuah shall not turn back until He has done and established the purposes of His heart.   In the latter days you shall understand it.”

Jer 31:1  “At that time,” declares Yahuah, “I shall be the Elohim of all the clans of Yisra’ĕl, and they shall be My people.”

Jer 31:2 Thus said Yahuah, “A people escaped from the sword found favour in the wilderness, Yisra’ĕl, when it went to find rest.”

Jer 31:3 Yahuah appeared to me from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I shall draw you with kindness.

Jer 31:4 “I am going to build you again. And you shall be rebuilt, O maiden of Yisra’ĕl!  Again you shall take up your tambourines, and go forth in the dances of those who rejoice.

Jer 31:5 “Again you shall plant vines on the mountains of Shomeron (Samaria).  The planters shall plant and treat them as common.

Jer 31:6 “For there shall be a day when the watchmen (Natsarim) cry on Mount Ephrayim, ‘Arise, and let us go up to Tsiyon, to Yahuah our Elohim.’ ”

Jer 31:7 For thus said Yahuah, “Sing with gladness for Yaʽaqoḇ, and shout among the chief of the nations. Cry out, give praise, and say, ‘O יהוה, save Your people, the remnant of Yisra’ĕl!’

Jer 31:8 “See, I am bringing them from the land of the north, and shall gather them from the ends of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, those with child and those in labor, together – a great assembly returning here.

Jer 31:9 “With weeping they shall come, and with their prayers I bring them. I shall make them walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they do not stumble.  For I shall be a Father to Yisra’ĕl, and Ephrayim – he is My first-born.

Jer 31:10 “Hear the word of Yahuah, O gentiles, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Yisra’ĕl gathers him, and shall guard him as a shepherd his flock.’
