SHIBBOLETH
Shibboleth is
a Hebrew word for leaf, flowing growth, or branch.
It may also refer to the part of any plant that produces grain, seed, or
fruit.
Giladites used
this word to test the identity of men crossing the Yarden
in the days of the Judges of Yisharal: “And Gilad captured the fords of
the
Yarden that faced Afrayim. And it came to be when the fugitives from
Afrayim said, ‘Let me pass over,’ the men of Gilad said to him,
‘You are an Afrayimite!’ If he said, ‘No,’ then they would say to him,
‘Please say: shibboleth’ - And he would say, ‘sibboleth,’ for he
was unable to pronounce it right.
Then they seized him and slew him at the fords of the Yarden. And at
that time there fell 42,000 Afrayimites.” -
Judges 12:5-6. Ouch.
The Giladites were the occupants of a mountainous area known as Gilad, who
were made up of the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Manasseh; fellow brothers!
Sadly, this kind of thing has occurred in many places since. During World
War
II Japanese spies would approach checkpoints, and were tested with the
word “lollapalooza” - if they said rorra, they were
immediately shot.
There are dozens of other horrible examples, but you get the point.
The only way of identifying a follower of Yahusha is by verifying whether or
not
His Spirit is in them. If they belong to Him, His Presence will show: love,
joy,
peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. Their behavior will reflect Him.
A TREE IS KNOWN BY ITS FRUIT
“Either identify the tree as good and its fruit as good, or else identify
the

WORDS CAN KILL
Our unkindness toward one another seems to know no bounds.
Even outsiders notice how Natsarim are very unkind to one another.
They argue over all kinds of things, such as how to spell or pronounce YAHUAH or YAHUSHA.
There is hardly any unity in the many forms of Christianity.
Some care so little they would accept the name Fred.
Would you like to stand before Yahusha face-to-face for the first time and
hear someone accusing you of being a "legalist" because you lived by every
Word that proceeds from the mouth of Yahuah, and taught others to do the
same?
Call me a legalist; I want to be legal.
There are no other roots than the Hebrew roots.
We can put the message into whatever language we want, but we cannot change
the Name of the one we worship to "Fred."
The Name and the Word are above all (Ps. 138:2).
We correct, train, and teach by speaking "the Word," and we are to teach the
"Name" and the "Word" to all nations.
The Truth sounds like hate to those who hate Truth.
"To the Torah and to the witness! If they do not speak according to this
Word, it is because they have no daybreak."
- YashaYahu / Is. 8:20
When I was in rebellion I thought I could do whatever I wanted in my own
eyes. The Word is what Yahuah says it is, like a hammer that crushes a rock.
It broke me, and it has become my foundation.
From birth I was taught to disobey Yahuah and live by the teachings of men
(religion).
Yahusha - fully translated - means
"I am your (Yahu) + Deliverance (sha)."
The name "Fred" just doesn't ring true.
If we accept counterfeits we are likely to believe anything.
The weeds are growing fast and high, blocking out the light for the wheat.
To hate one’s brother makes one a murderer
in Yahusha’s eyes. Yahusha told us we would be killed by those who think
they are rendering service to Yahuah (Yn.
16:2).
The hatred and judgment toward others is by far the norm.
Some seem almost ready to kill when someone mistakenly says “Jesus.”
At least the Christians seem to have unity about one thing: the name “Jesus”
that appeared for the first time in the the 17th century.
Being
united in error
is not a good thing.
Yahusha asked, “When
the Son of Adam comes, will He find the belief on the
Earth?” (Luke
18:8).
Everyone has inherited errors from the past, and sharing the Truth should be
done with tact and kindness.
We all stumble in many matters (YaAqob 3:2).
YAHUSHA’S NAME SEALS US FOR PROTECTION
ON THE DAY OF WRATH
(DAY OF YAHUAH)
He's going to take the weeds first, from the midst of the wheat.
The
Christian teachers have all lied about the process explained in the parable
(Mt. 13).
“We don’t speak Hebrew” is
often the response people will give for staying with the traditional “old
wine” that was poured into their hearts from the cup held by the great
harlot (the beast teaching authority). The only Name given under heaven
among men is a Hebrew name, and what it means should make us sit up and pay
attention.
Jesus
has no Hebrew meaning whatsoever, but
Yahusha
means:
“I am your Deliverer”
Those sealed in the Name of Yahusha are the wheat.
When we learn from Yahusha, He shows us how to treat one another.
We employ forgiveness, compassion, and we’re patient with those we are sent
to teach. Our reward is being able to serve Yahusha’s body and having His
Presence in us. Yahuah came into His creation, and men did not recognize Him
because they would not receive His Words. He tires of the violence and
selfishness in the human heart. He told us, "Love one another as I have
loved you." He is called Yahusha, and He lives in His Natsarim - He will
never leave us.
His Name seals us from the day of judgment when the reapers will come to
remove the weeds from the midst of the wheat.
That day is fast approaching.
PHONOLOGY is
the study of how a language sounds when it’s spoken.
Some languages don’t have the sound of “SH” (like Greek) so they have to
work with their limitations. The lack of the “SH” sound was a deadly problem
for the Afrayimites, wasn’t it?
HEBREW PHONOLOGY & WRITING
LANGUAGE is
a method of sharing (communicating) ideas in specific
words which are associated within a community or group. When we refer to
the English language, we are referring to the spoken sounds of words.
We are not referring to the script (letters).
You are reading this article in the English language, but the letters (scriptum)
you
are reading are Latin! Many of our words we think are English actually come
from Latin, Greek, Hindi, Swahili, Cherokee, Hebrew, or many others.
Pacem is
the word for peace in Roma; in Hebrew it is shalom.
In the sentence you just read, Latin letters were used to express three
languages: Roma, English, and Hebrew. Words make up a language; the letters
used (script) may or may not match that language.
The main difference between between Hebrew (EBRI) and Aramaic is
the script the original language of Eber is written in, not so much the name
of the letters or the way the words may have sounded.
We often hear people talk about the spoken dialects of Hebrew & Aramaic, but
the truth is no one can make a strong case about either being very much
different in their sound.
No one made a recording of how they spoke any words.
“Aramaic” is a word referring to the man Aram, just as “Hebrew” (Ebri)
refers to the man Eber.
Scripture only reveals that Aram was a man descended from Shem, so he most
likely spoke the same language as Shem, and subsequently Eber as well.
There is no Scripture that addresses specific speech differences between
Hebrew and Aramaic, but if there were any the differences would be subtle
such as the pronunciation of the word “sibboleth” for “shibboleth” by a
member of the tribe of Afraim.
Both utterances mean “a flowing growth,” and the phonology is mostly a way
to distinguish a person of one area from another.
The Hebrew language is specifically mentioned about 11 times in the Natsarim
Writings, but the Aramaic dialect is not.
When Yahusha appeared to Shaul on the road to Damascus, Yahusha spoke in
Hebrew: “And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice
speaking to me, and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Shaul, Shaul, why
do you persecute Me?
It is hard for you to kick against the prods.’ And I said, ‘Who are You,
Master?’ And He said, ‘I am Yahusha, Whom you persecute.” Acts
26:14, 15
Based on this evidence, we can safely say Yahusha spoke His Own Name
perfectly, and in Hebrew.
The language of the Aramaic
script is normally Hebrew, but the letters (or script) are not Hebrew –
they’re Aramaic. They can’t be both at the same time. People are taught they
are “modern Hebrew” – and that is misleading.
We’re writing in a language we
call “English.” The script we use is Latin.
The language of Hebrew, and the
script of Hebrew, can be
distinguished from the language of Hebrew written in a foreign script (see
examples below).
There’s a high probability we are correctly displaying the Name “Yahusha”
in the Latin alphabet since it is based on Hebrew letters, not Greek. Only
when we read it aloud from the Latin letters based on the Hebrew letters are
we speaking Hebrew.
If we read the Aramaic letters aloud, we do the same. The Aramaic
language is the Hebrew
language; it’s the script that’s
different. If we use Greek letters which lack accurate sounds, we experience
distortions, but most don’t realize it.
PREPARE TO BE SHOCKED
The purpose of Torah is to teach us how to love; that’s a
no-brainer.
YaAqob (James) 1:25 states we should "do" (perform, obey) Torah and not be
only a hearer of it. Our belief is perfected only by obedience (2:22).
True worship is: obedience.
There is no way Yahuah will be angry with someone who obeys His Torah. His
constant will for everyone is to hear and obey His Living Words. (see Eccl.
12:13)
If we obey His Commandments, it angers the teaching authorities that seek to
control us because they serve another master: the dragon.
When we see obedience in ourselves or someone else, it is because Yahusha
has inscribed a love for His Word on our hearts, and we are seeing the
"walk" (walking in the Spirit of Yahusha's power).
This is the Renewed Covenant; the circumcision of our heart with His Torah
(instructions) – performed by Yahusha’s Spirit.
If we are not obeying, but saying we know Him, we are liars, and do not know
Him, nor do we belong to Him. (1Yn. 2:4).
The thoughts (mind) of the flesh
rebel against Torah, and this is what being "in the flesh" means:
Rom 8:7-9: "Because the mind of the flesh is enmity towards Alahim, for it
does not subject itself to the Torah of Alahim, neither indeed is it able,
and those who are in the flesh are unable to please Alahim.
But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of
Alahim dwells in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Mashiak,
this one is not His." The reign of Babel (the beast) hypnotizes us with
allegories, but the reign of Yahusha (appearing in our hearts) gives us the
perspective of the Mind of Yahuah - Who is Yahusha - and we do what is
pleasing to Him.
The dragon blinds, but Yahusha opens minds to His will.
Here's the shocker:
Those who built high places, ate pigs, and met in the morning on the Day of
the Sun can be found in Scripture - but the beast has taught us to
imitate them, and not Yahusha. A day of reckoning (aka Judgment
Day) is coming, and Paul spoke of it at Acts 17:30-32.

An important part of our
restoration
involves calling upon the Name of our Creator.
His Name as written in ancient Hebrew letters is shown in this illustration:
Our letters U, V, and W came from the sixth letter of the
ancient Hebrew
alef-beth, a letter shaped:
Y
(yet it is not our modern letter that looks like this).
This Hebrew letter became the Greek letter
UPSILON,
also shaped
Y.
The Latin form of this letter
dropped the stem,
changing the shape to
V,
but keeping the sound “OO” as in our modern
“U”. The word for "sword" in Latin letters is GLADIVS
(NOTE THE
U
IS SHAPED AS A
V).
Within the last 700 years, this letter shaped
“V”
with the sound of the double-O, “OO” (as in "school") developed into our
modern letters
U and
later the
double-U,
written as
W.
The “double-U” is a new letter, and not a letter known to the Hebrew
language. Note that in the words “YAHUDAH”
and “HALLELU-YAH”
we find the letter UAU also. Please verify this using online
encyclopedias and other sources.
The Tetragrammaton is therefore more accurately rendered as YHUH, standing
for the 4 letters
YOD-HAY-UAU-HAY.
If preferred, it can be expressed YHVH, as long as it is understood that the
"V" shape is sounded as our modern "U".
